Training

My training packages cover two distinct areas.  Firstly horse owners who would like specific help or guidance with their horse or horses.  And secondly, professional practical training for vet physio students.  Both packages vastly different, but both drawing on my extensive experience and qualifications in this field, and backed by my fantastic professional facility in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands.

I can design bespoke training for you and your horse, whether you would like an intensive 2 hour session in a specific area of groundwork/exercise, or weekly practical sessions with your horse, or a residential stay for combined physio for your horse plus training for yourself.

Training Courses For Owners

How to work your horse effectively covering groundwork, lunging and stretches, and many more important skills to keep your horse happy and healthy regardless of your goals.

Location: Booth Hall Farm, Kingsley, Staffordshire

Bring your horse to our yard for informal but highly effective training sessions, and demystify groundwork and lunging for you and your horse! I focus on making every activity simple to understand and implement, and I will work with you to identify the areas that you are struggling with the most.

Most horses benefit from some non ridden exercise, to allow them to use their back without a rider on board, balance themselves without the rider, and improve their posture and core strength.  Whether you need an ongoing long term rehabilitation plan, lameness prevention plan, fitness plan, posture and strengthening plan or need help with post injury or surgery, groundwork is an important element of keeping your horse at his optimum.

Typical focus areas:

  • your goals and any difficulties you are experiencing in achieving them
  • groundwork / in-hand training
  • handling
  • behavioural issues
  • corrective exercise
  • training your horse to move correctly and engage his core

These sessions would be one on one and completely tailored to your needs.  Give me a call I’d love to find out more about your situation.
